Creative writing short story genre lesson that explores western films and books in detail as a stimulus for understanding genre and how it can impact readers, and is part a unit of work on short stories whilst looking at creative writing. Students explore wild west books and films as a genre, exploring tropes and conventions, and how using these can impact on readers. Students evaluate their own short stories and how they have adapted genre for their readers.
